Running and Travelling – Veni Vidi Vici Recently it has become very popular to travel and run at the same time. Exploring Iceland was so fortunate to be able to host a group of 150 runners from the US for a week´s program where our guests were able to run with the locals, run though a volcanic valley and went out to explore Iceland on a series of day tours out of Reykjavík. Local and private runs The visiting runners joined a local run where they had to accomplish 16 k of a winding country lane with amazing mountain views but shorter distances were also available. Resting in the geothermal SPA was a wonderful experience after the run and new friendships with local runners were formed. The guests performed well with 3 runners from the visiting group winning in their age group, plus a couple of second and third places as well! Well done everybody! The group also did a private run which took place in a beautiful Volcanic Valley where they followed the ancient trail for about 7 km on a surprisingly good riding track though huge fields of pumice, ashes and pseudo craters. The route took them along the wild salmon river and through beautiful blooming fields of the purple lupine. The third run was in Reykjavik where the runners got the once-in-a-lifetime experience to run underneath the midnight sun! Distances on offer were: 5 k, 10 k and a half marathon. Again, the visiting group got a chance to run with the local Icelanders and a few other international guests. Thank you everybody for being a part of this and see you again next time!

I will be visiting Iceland in June, 2021. I'm wondering if you could suggest a running tour guide for my adult son Doug who is a very competent collegiate runner
