For many years Iceland has been a typical summer destination. Look at travel magazines, photo books and journals – Iceland is usually presented in its beautiful summer dress. Hiking, horseback riding, travelling through the highland – all are great and classic activities apparently destined for summer-only holidays. Think of Iceland, what does it cunjour up? For many it was the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull which brought misery to many air travellers far and wide when it erupted with huge clouds of ash, but few of those people realised the impact it had on Iceland esp those who lived close to it. The eruption did cause devastation to the landscape and surrounding farms but as they recovered the news of the eruption really did put Iceland back on the map, and for something other than the financial crash of 2008. Iceland, the land of ice and fire is a country of sheer beauty and awe.

Once you experience Iceland for the first time, you will be drawn back again and again to experience
