This itinerary is a suggestion for private groups who are happy to spend a few nights in the cozy hotel accommodation in the countryside to have more flexibility and time for sightseeing. Your hotel is the 4 Star Húsafell Hótel with geothermal swimming pool and excellent restaurant situated in the Húsafell Nature Reserve. This itinerary gives you the advantage of travelling further from Reykjavík and having thus more time on each location.
During the Northern Lights season (September/October to March/April) a countryside location is always preferrably since it will give you better darkness to see the lights and Húsafell Hotel has been one of Iceland´s best places to see them. Please note that this itinerary is just an example and days can be exchanged, the program can be shortened or altered to your wishes! |
