Winter South Iceland
Winter Northern Lights Adventure in Mongolian yurts
October - March
This itinerary is a suggestion for private groups who would love to try out glamping in our beautifully Nordic style decorated Mongolian yurts, located right in the Golden Circle between Gullfoss waterfall and the geyser Strokkur. The yurts are heated and give you the feeling of sleeping outdoors with all the indoors comfort! Two additional communal yurts offer a cozy lounge and a comfortable breakfast room with a view. All yurts are equipped with a kettle, fridge and a curtained off emergency toilet. In a shower block nearby you will find showers and additional heated bathrooms. During the Northern Lights season (September/October to March/April) a countryside location is always preferrably since it will give you better darkness to see the lights. The yurts are perfect for Northern Light hunting as they even have a special window in the top to follow the northern lights from your bed!
Please note that this itinerary is just an example and days can be exchanged, the program can be shortened or altered to your wishes!
If you like the itinerary but would like to stay in a hotel instead we can highly recommend the 4 Star Hotel Geysir nearby the Yurt camp!
