Running with the locals

Picture
"Fram" running group is a small but very active running group in the upper areas of Reykjavík. The group runs together throughout the year 4 times a week. During the winter they try to find empty paths or streets, but sometimes have to wade through snow and wetness. During the summer, they mostly run off-road and even go on longer trips along fun routes into the highlands of Iceland.

After the run in February, it's good to have hot coffee and donuts - and the running group will invite you for coffee after the run.

The plan is to run for 60 - 90 min.

Reykjavik Food Walk

Picture

Whale Watching

Enjoy a magical journey into Faxaflói bay with our expert crew and specially trained naturalists. Explore the whales of Reykjavík under the excellent guidance of our marine biologist guides and learn all about the incredible wildlife that call Iceland their home. The bay is even full of birdlife, from puffins and gannets to guillemots and more, that actively feed on the plentiful fish found in the bay. Magnificent landscapes surround the area and add a unique contrast to the vast ocean, where the spectacular views on the horizon are certainly not to be missed.

Quad biking

You will drive rugged trails & a route along the lovely Lake Hafravatn, and a variety of terrains to have fun on. Then it’s onwards and upwards as you bike to the top of Reykjavik Peak mountain – the high point of your journey. From there you should be able to see the Hengill mountain range, Iceland’s third most active volcanic system, together with Hellisheiði, the geothermal power plant for the capital area. A spectacular view over Faxaflói bay and the whole capital region, Bláfjöll mountain range and Esja, Reykjavik’s house mountain, is waiting for you.

Buggy Safari

Your buggy adventure begins with a pick up from your Reykjavik hotel* and the short drive to base camp on an asphalt road before taking the road off-road. Our expert guides will make sure you have all the gear and safety instructions you need before you start the tour.

FlyOver Iceland utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. You will hang suspended, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating journey across Iceland. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience.

Snorkeling

On our Diving Silfra Day Tour you will dive into the most unique body of water in the world with unparalleled visibility. Silfra is a crack in the Earth ripped open by the movement of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The crystal clear glacial water providing over 100 meters of underwater visibility has been filtered for decades through underground lava rocks. The underwater scenery that you experience on your Diving Tour is found nowhere else on Earth.

The Lava Show

LAVA SHOW  recreates a volcanic eruption by superheating real lava and pouring it into a showroom full of people.

LAVA SHOW is the only live lava show in the world, a highly engaging experience that has received multiple awards on entertainment and innovation.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get up close to real molten lava, see it flowing, hear it sizzling, and feel the incredible heat that eminates from it.
