Hiking Tours
in Iceland

Our Hand-picked Hiking trips

Iceland is a true paradise for hikers and as well for those who just prefer easy leisure walks within pristine nature. We offer our guests a wide range of short and longer tours - ranging from a relaxing guided walk to Reykjadalur valley where you can bath in a natural hot stream to challenging multi day hikes in the highland of Iceland.  The famous Laugavegur Trek into the colourful moutains of the Fjallabak Nature Reserve is one of our most popular trails available and we recommend to book early as it usually books up very quickly! Accommodation on these hiking trails is very basic sleeping bag accommodation.

If you want a bit more of privacy and comfort have a look at our

with easy daily guided walks and lovely Country Hotels.

Hiking in Reykjadalur valley  - Daytour - 7 hrs from Reykjavik

This tour is the perfect day tour for those who want an easy to medium day hike with hot spring bathing including transfer from Reykjavik. A short drive takes you to the "Greenhouse" town of Hveragerði from where we set out on our hike into the secluded and charming valley of Reykjadalur (the "Steamvalley"). The geothermal water mixes with cold spring water to a comfortable bathing temperature for you to relax after the uphill hike. Lots of hot springs steam up the surrounding to create an eerie atmosphere. After bathing in the hot pools of water we walk back downhill towards our bus.
This is a great 7 km, day hike that is suitable for anyone. Please note that on the way to the hot springs there is quite a bit of uphill hiking (roughly 4 km).
Arrival back in Reykjavík usually around 3:30 PM.
Clothing: Warm and waterproof outdoor clothing, head wear, gloves, bathing suit and a towel. Please wear good hiking shoes and bring some snacks/lunch and water for the hike.

The Laugavegur Trek in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve - 5 days

The Laugavegur Trek is one of the most famous trekking routes In Iceland and was named one of the best hiking trails in the World by National Geographic. The trail takes you from the colourful rhyolite mountains in Landamannalaugar to the lush green valley of Þorsmörk, sheltered in between 3 glaciers. If you dream of hiking in a terrain with geothermal bathing springs, crossing glacier rivers and hiking through lava fields you could not find a better trail! The trail itself is approx. 55 km long and there is some uphill hiking involved. Accommodation is very basic sleepingbag accommodation in Icelandic Mountain huts. The luggage is transported and full board is provided. Guided by a professional English speaking mountain guide.  Some departures also offer German/French speaking guides.

Landmannalaugar Hiking Tour

Landmannalaugar is a unique bubbling geothermal wonderland with caramel-colored peaks, soothing hot springs, rambling lava flows, and clear blue lakes.

Landmannalaugar is home to Laugahraun lava fields, Mount Brennisteinsalda and Bláhnjúkur, forming a beautiful and colorful setting for our hiking tour. Landmannalaugar is located in a place called Fjallabak Reserve in the remote highlands of Iceland. Here you can find some of the most stunning hiking trails in the country and the starting point for the famous Laugavegur trail. We'll end our day of hiking with a nice soak in the natural hot pool.
