Spend three wonderful days in the wilderness south of Mt. Hekla, one of Iceland´s most active volcanoes. We ride with a herd of free running spare horses close to beautiful mountain Thrihyrningur which is a distinctive viewpoint in breathtaking landscape north of some famous saga locations in the Fljótshlíð valley. This tour with three riding days is the ideal tour for people who do not have the stamina, time or budget for a long highland tour but it is still the real deal as you will be riding in untamed landscape with a herd of free running horses.
Small groups and personal attendance by our host Róbert and his family will give you the feeling of being one of the team. The daily rides from 4-6 hours in the saddle are only for experienced riders who are happy to ride in faster speed over uneven terrain.
This is a small group tour with only 6 guests which gives the tour a wonderful personal feeling. Our partners are experienced horse breeders and trainers and have been showing horses with great success.
There is not doubt that this short tour will give you the longing to come back to explore Iceland´s wonderful wild nature again and again!
